Virgin Australia Regional Airlines ATR 72-600 VH-VPI Makes its First Visit to Emerald Airport

After entering service in mid-June, the latest Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-VPI has seemed to spend most of its days based in Sydney, flying to Canberra, Albury and Port Macquarie.  It has made the occasional journey North, and visited Gladstone (where it is pictured below on its first visit) as well as Bundaberg, but on Sunday 20 July, VH-VPI made its first visit to Emerald Airport, operating the evening VOZ1267/1268 scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.

It will be interesting to see if it remains in Brisbane into tomorrow, and thus continues to call into Central Queensland Airports!
