A Little More of a Look at Stirling Helicopters - Rockhampton Airport - Dululu - Biloela / Thangool - Roma

Stirling Helicopters is a Central Queensland based company that has been servicing a large and diverse client base since its inception in 2002.  They operate from several bases throughout Central Queensland and South West Queensland including:  Rockhampton, Dululu, Biloela / Thangool and Roma.



Plane spotters regularly capture photos of Stirling Helicopters fleet at their Rockhampton Airport base.  They are reportedly largest operator of helicopters in the Rockhampton and surrounding regions at the moment, operating a broad range of choppers, and offering a vast range of professional helicopter services with very experienced and professional pilots.


Stirling Helicopters originally began operations to support the rural industry by providing a cattle mustering, crop spraying and spreading service.  They currently offer extensive helicopter charter services to the Corporate & Tourism Industries, Mining, Gas & Power Industries, Defence Force & Government Industries and the Agricultural Industry.

As we reported below, Stirling Helicopters currently have the stunning OAS Parts (Bell) UH-1H Iroquois Helicopter VH-OXE based at Rockhampton Airport while it is being utilised as a fire fighting and heavy-lift platform.


Stirling Helicopters also operate several other choppers, including Bell 206B Jetrangers VH-JAQ, VH-CLV and VH-FYH.


Eurocopter/Aerospataile AS.350BA Squirrel helicopters VH-WHW and VH-HBZ.


Eurocopter EC130 VH-EHY and Eurocopter EC120.


And finally, Robinson R44s VH-MTY and VH-HMY along with Robinson R22 VH-XIB.
