The Ibis Mackay Airport Hotel Officially Open for Business

After it felt like construction went on forever, the Ibis Mackay Airport Hotel has accepted its first guests and was officially opened on Thursday 11 June.

The hotel is located within the Mackay Airport precinct - a short walk from the main terminal building.  It is the only Accor (Ibis) branded hotel between Yeppoon and Townsville.

Reservations are reportedly steady so far for the hotel with mostly loyalty bookings thus far.  Staff recruitment is complete, room fit outs and any those final touches have recently been completed.

The Ibis Mackay Airport Hotel is owned by North Queensland Airports while international hotel group Accor is the management company.

 -50 seat bar area
 -65 new jobs
