Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service Dash-8-200 VH-ZZI Departs Bundaberg Airport for Noumea

In an interesting movement for Bundaberg, Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Dash-8-200 VH-ZZI departed to Noumea, New Caledonia on Saturday 20 June.

In what could possibly be the first ever International flight departure from Bundy, the Dash-8 was noted to be using the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) International flight callsign of "Ausy 1014".

Of interest, it appears that VH-ZZI arrived into Bundaberg Airport on Friday 19 June.

UPDATE!  I noted with interest that VH-ZZI was scheduled to operate a four-and-a-half hour flight out of Noumea on Tuesday 23 June but I am unsure if this actually occurred.  Any readers know why the Dash-8 has gone to New Caledonia?
