RAAF Challenger 604 A37-002 and Queensland Government Hawker 850XP VH-SGY Call into Longreach Airport

A couple of nice bizjets called into Longreach Airport on Thursday 11 June bringing a couple of high-profile Federal Government Ministers to the Qantas Founders Museum (QFM) to hear our about their Super Constellation and Aeroplane Enclosure Roof Projects.

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-002 was noted arriving from Sydney as "Regent 26".

Meanwhile, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY called in from Brisbane and later departed to Mount Isa.

Of interest, Longreach Airport has continued to play host to a wide range of light General Aviation (GA) aircraft, with this week, New South Wales-based Cessna 182 VH-SHB, Toowoomba-based Cessna 210 VH-XGM and Sunshine Coast-based Cessna 310 VH-CWZ all calling in.

On Sunday 7 June and Monday 8 June, Brescon Beech B200 VH-WXN called into Longreach once again while flying from Toowoomba to the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport and then to Century Mine via Longreach and Cloncurry.
