More Great Photos of Touchdown Helicopters OAS Parts (Bell) UH-1H Iroquois Helicopter VH-OXE at Rockhampton Airport

Rockhampton plane spotters Kayanne H and Trevor H have sent through some more great photos of a great new helicopter that is currently calling CQ home (only for a short time!) in the form OAS Parts (Bell) UH-1H Iroquois Helicopter VH-OXE.

VH-OXE is currently registered to - and wears the colours of - Touchdown Helicopters of Albion Park Rail (Wollongong) and is being utilised (leased) by Stirling Helicopters (Stirling Consolidated on Theodore) as a fire fighting and heavy-lift platform.  It will (at the time of writing) continue to be based at Rockhampton Airport until later this year.

As we've reported, the big Bell was previously operated by the United States Army wearing the serial number 67-17187.  It was built in 1967 and reportedly has only 6000 hours 'on the clock'.

Thanks to Kayanne and Trevor for sending through these great photos of a great helicopter - and thanks to friendly staff at Stirling Helicopters for the opportunity to capture them!
