Exercise Wallaby 2018 - Some Photos of Mass Arrival of Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Super Puma and Chinook Helicopters at Rockhampton Airport

As the sun was setting on Friday 26 October, Rockhampton Airport played host to the mass arrival of eight Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) helicopters as the Singapore Armed Forces Exercise Wallaby 2018 continues.

It was truly a spectacular sight as four Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma and four Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters all arrived into Rocky together from the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

All four Super Pumas taxied in and parked at Rockhampton Airport, as did one of the Chinook helicopters.

The other three Chinook helicopters were spotted breaking away and landed and parked inside the nearby 'Warriors Camp'.

It has been fairly 'quiet' around Rockhampton Airport over the last week for RSAF helicopter movements with most of the visiting choppers seemingly re-positioning and operating from within Shoalwater Bay.  Indeed the four RSAF Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters haven't been sighted around Rockhampton Airport and 'Warriors Camp' since last weekend.

Sincere thanks to local photographer Russell P for his ongoing fantastic contributions of stunning images of the Exercise Wallaby 2018 action around Rockhampton Airport - it is really appreciated!
