More Bizjet Action at Hamilton Island Airport - Cessna Citations VH-WMY & VH-ZEK Visit - And More!

Another day, more bizjets to call into Hamilton Island Airport!

This time, on Tuesday 2 October, Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY was noted arriving from Melbourne (Moorabbin) via Townsville.

After a very short time on the ground, it departed to Parkes in New South Wales and then Melbourne (Essendon).

A little later, Silver Linings Aviation Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-ZEK was also noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport but from its Bankstown base.

At the time of writing, VH-ZEK appears to be staying for at least the night.

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 2 October,  the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY took to the air, looking to complete a training flight out of Brisbane which saw it complete airwork at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport before landing at Bundaberg Airport for a short time.  It then returned to Brisbane.

And slightly lighter and smaller, but nonetheless of a corporate nature, Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Global Ranger helicopter VH-EQP was back in CQ calling into Biloela / Thangool Airport from its Southport base.  It is believed to have continued further North.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 3 October, VH-EQP was noted visiting Emerald and Middlemount Airports before it later returned to Southport.

Finally, Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-PID visited Rockhampton Airport also on Tuesday 2 October, arriving from and later departing back to its Toowoomba base.
