Gladstone Airport Carpark Becomes Tent-City due to Floods

Gladstone Airport carpark has become a makeshift medical centre, as the State Disaster Co-ordination Centre moved in on Thursday 30 December to set up a mobile health facility in the wake of the floods.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) said the move to set up the mobile medical facility was mainly to cope with patients flying in from flood-stricken Emerald.

The QAS thanked the Gladstone Airport management, who had been extremely helpful in allowing the unit to take up space in the car park.
