Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-17 Pops into Rockhampton Airport

In a nice surprise for local spotters, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-206 popped into Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 7 June.

It is pictured above taxiing along Taxiway Juliette to its parking spot on the Airport apron, where it is also pictured unloading its cargo of helicopters.

Meanwhile, Pacific Aerospace (PAC) 750XL P2-BWF of Central Airlines, was photographed arriving in Rockhampton Airport for fuel, before departing later for Townsville, Cairns, and on to Papua New Guinea.

This aircraft was spotted in New Zealand only last week, and is believed to be on delivery to Papua New Guinea.

Elsewhere at Rockhampton Airport, Mackay-based Rockwell 114 VH-WFA was noted departing for its homebase of Mackay.

We thanks the spotters in Rockhampton for their photos!
