ATR 72-500 VH-FVL was a popular attraction at Emerald Airpot on Saturday 7 January, as Virgin Australia celebrated the start of their new Emerald to Brisbane flights next week with a community day.
By all accounts the day - which gave locals the opportunity to have a close look at the ATR as well as chat to the flight crew - was very well received. There was also rides and face painting for the kids, and a sausage sizzle!
CQ Plane Spotting will be travelling on the inagural Virgin Australia / Skywest Airlines operated flight from Emerald to Brisbane next Monday 16 January. Stay tuned for lots of pictures and a trip report!
