Skytrans Operates a Dozen Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) Charters In Three Days From Clermont Aerodrome

Over three days this week, Skytrans has operated as many as 12 fly-in fly-out (FIFO) charters to and from Clermont Aerodrome.


There were two flights on Wednesday 4 April. On Thursday 5 April, there were four extra departures during the day - as well as the 'usual' four arrivals in the evening from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and later Mackay. On Friday 6 April, four Skytrans Dash-8s departed Clermont for the South. I can only assume the local mine workforce was wanting to get back home for Easter!

Meanwhile, Skytrans took delivery of their latest Dash-8-Q300 in Cairns this week. The aircraft, registered VH-QQP, is expected to enter service with Skytrans shortly.
