Some Movements from Clermont Aerodrome This Week

Aside from the 'usual' 12 or so Skytrans Airlines fly-in fly-out (FIFO) charters that operate to and from Clermont, there has been some interesting light aircraft movements into my home town aerodrome!

On Tuesday 17 April, KJM Contractors Raytheon B200 King Air VH-KMS visited twice during the day.

On Thursday 19 April, I saw the unmistakable livery of Coastwings Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-WXC departing Clermont for Chinchilla. Meanwhile, a quick trip to the airport later in the afternoon revealed two visitors in the form of Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 VH-MRZ which arrived from Cairns and later departed to Townsville. Flights similar to this one have operated into Clermont over the last couple of week - perhaps becoming a regular charter flight?

Charter-Towers-based Cessna 182 VH-DSL was also noted.

Away from the airport, late on Wednesday 18 April, Central Queensland (CQ) Rescue Helicopter Service Bell 412 VH-NSV was noted at the Clermont Hospital heli-pad. The CHC Helicopters-operated chopper was on the ground briefly before departing to Mackay.

It was interesting to note that VH-NSV has recently been repainted into a new CQ Rescue livery - I think it looks quite nice!
