Some interesting aircraft have popped into Rockhampton Airport over the last couple of days.
On Friday 13 April, Our Airline (Air Nauru) Boeing B737-3Y0 VH-INU arrived from Darwin as RON901, before departing to Brisbane as RON921. I managed a shot of VH-INU at Brisbane Airport before I flew to Emerald - it was certainly a surprise to see it parked at the Brisbane Domestic Terminal!
Meanwhile, on Saturday 14 April, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-QQY made its first visit to Rockhampton, operating a charter flight from and back to Cairns. Unfortunately for local spotters who missed its arrival, it parked behind the JetGo E-135 VH-JTG (which is still there!) and so photos were a little hard to come by!
Lastly, QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) have swapped Boeing B717-200 aircraft that are used on Central Queensland services. VH-NXN operated its final flight to the region on Friday 13 April when it flew in and out of Rockhampton (file picture below).
On Saturday 14 April, the 'new' B717-200, VH-NXQ, operated its first service to the Central Queensland region when it flew in and out of Rockhampton.
