This Week's Plane Spotting at Clermont Aerodrome

The usual Skytrans Airlines fly-in fly-out  (FIFO) charters popped into Clermont Aerodrome this week, along with a couple of other interesting visitors.

On Monday 30 April I spotted Dash-8-100 VH-QQJ after arriving early in the morning.

While I was there, Australasian Jet Beech 58 Baron VH-TTH arrived from Mackay.

On Thursday 3 May I received a birthday surprise in the form of a pair of Hinterland Aviation charters that touched down almost together during the afternoon.

Cessna 402 VH-TFZ arrived first and after collecting it's passengers, departed for Innisfail as "Hinterland 876".

Beech B200 King Air VH-HLJ also arrived, and departed to Townsville and then Cairns as "Hinterland 430".

I also noted Van's RV-6 VH-MJH, which was parked and locked up tight.

Earlier on Thursday 3 May, KJM Contractors Raytheon B200 King Air VH-KMS made two visits to Clermont Aerodome.

Later on Thursday 3 May, I ventured out to the airport and captured three of the four Skytrans Dash-8 FIFO arrivals.

Dash-8-100 VH-QQK arrived from and departed back to Brisbane.

While Dash-8-300s VH-QQM and VH-QQN both arrived and overnighted departing the next morning.

Dash-8-100 VH-QQI also passed through Clermont on Friday evening, although it later departed to and returned from Mackay before also overnighting.

Another great week!
