More Maintenance Issues for Virgin Australia at Rockhampton Airport - And a Rare Photo Opportunity Missed!

As we posted below, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-700 VH-VBZ called into Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday 9 April.  It ended up flying in twice during the day on scheduled services - VOZ1231/1234/1239.

After its last arrival into the beef capital, VH-VBZ was unable to depart and ended up spending the rest of the day and then night parked on the Rockhampton Airport apron.

Mid-morning on Thursday 10 April, VH-VBZ positioned back to Brisbane empty as VOZ9902.  At the time of writing, it has re-entered service with Virgin.

As VH-VBZ was parked at Rockhampton Airport, fellow Virgin B737-700 VH-VBY also called into Rockhampton Airport on Thursday 10 April operating a scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.  Perhaps some more research may have enabled us to bring to you what would now be fairly rare photo of both of Virgin's remaining B737-700 aircraft parked together on the Rockhampton Airport apron.

That's plane spotting!
