The Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ had a busy week, noted calling into several CQ Airports on Tuesday 2 December (see Blog post below) and on Wednesday 3 December, it was spotted parked at Barcaldine Aerodrome (above). It had arrived from Blackall, after earlier flying from Brisbane to Quilpie. It later flew to Longreach, where on Thursday 4 December, it continued to Winton. It finally returned to Brisbane late on Thursday.
Other notable arrivals into Winton on Friday 5 December included a Hinterland Aviation Cessna 404, which called into Charters Towers on its journey from Cairns to Winton; Edwards Coaches Cessna 441 VH-OXY, which flew in from Brisbane and departed to Sydney; and finally Sundyne Cessna 650 Citation VII bizjet VH-SSZ, which flew into Winton from Sydney via Roma.

VH-SSZ returned to Sydney from Winton via Longreach and Roma.
No doubt there would have been more light aircraft and helicopters in town as well - and combined with the Regional Express SAAB 340 service that calls into Winton on Tuesday and Thursday - I'm sure Winton Airport would have looked great!
