A Couple of Virgin Australia Jets call into Gladstone Airport This Week

Interesting to note that a couple of Virgin Australia jets have called into Gladstone Airport this week in lieu of the usual Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72 turbo-props.

On Wednesday 19 August, Boeing B737-800 VH-VOX touched down early as VOZ1707 from Brisbane.  Surprisingly, it then departed to Rockhampton as VOZ1710 where it touched down briefly before departing back to Brisbane again as VOZ1710.

On Tuesday 18 August, Embraer E-190 VH-ZPA operated the VOZ1713/1716 flight into Gladstone from and back to Brisbane.

Finally, the usual weekly visit of an E-190 jet over the weekend occurred on Saturday 15 August when VH-ZPO operated the morning VOZ1709/1712 service also from and back to Brisbane.
