Air Affairs Australia Learjet 35A VH-JCR "Ajax 23" Pops into Rockhampton Airport to Support Broken Down RAN Seahawk

Making an early arrival into Rockhampton Airport on Thursday 5 July was Air Affairs Australia Learjet 35A bizjet VH-JCR.  It flew up from the home of the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Air Arm at HMAS Albatross at Nowra in New South Wales as "Ajax 23".

It appears to have come to Rocky to provide maintenance support to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk ‘Romeo’ naval combat helicopter N48-008 (Code 908) which arrived into Rockhampton Airport as "Tiger 08" on Wednesday 4 July and didn’t leave - see Blog post below.

Once repairs were complete, the Seahawk departed to Townsville and was again heard using the radio callsign of "Tiger 08".

UPDATE!  N48-008 was noted flying into Gladstone Airport on Friday 6 July yet again as "Tiger 08".

The Learjet returned to Nowra once again as "Ajax 23".

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
