Essendon-Based Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Beech B200C King Air VH-MSZ "FlyDoc 292" Calls into Rockhampton Airport

Making a surprise but welcome visit to Rockhampton Airport late on Thursday 27 February was Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Beech B200C King Air VH-MSZ.

It looked to arrive into Rockhampton Airport all the way from its Melbourne (Essendon) base, flying via Dubbo, Inverell and Brisbane.  VH-MSZ was heard to be using the radio callsign of "FlyDoc 292".

It later continued further North to Townsville where it stayed for the night.

Then on Friday 28 February, VH-MSZ returned to Essendon from Townsville, flying via Dubbo.

This King Air is a rare visitor to Queensland as it is based with South-Eastern Section of the RFDS and appears to be based out of Essendon.
