VH-SYV was flying as "Choppa 42" and originally departed RAAF Base Amberley for Roma Airport before it then continued to Longreach Airport.  After taking on additional fuel, VH-SYV "Choppa 42" then continued to Mount Isa where it appeared to be staying for the night.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 6 February, VH-SYV "Choppa 42" continued from Mount Isa to Tennant Creek and then RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory.

The Agusta operates for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in a Search and Rescue (SAR) role by CHC Helicopters / Lloyd Helicopters.

VH-SYV had flown South from RAAF Base Tindal to RAAF Base Amberley in December last year - see Blog post HERE.
