The Three Vectra Holdings' (Basair Australia) Piper PA-28-181 Cherokees VH-VDN, VH-VOU and VH-VDX All Depart the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour - Plus More!

On Sunday 10 July, the visiting three Vectra Holdings' (Basair Australia) Piper PA-28-181 Cherokees VH-VDN, VH-VOU and VH-VDX all departed the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour after their weekend up in the Whitsundays.

All three called into Mackay and Bundaberg Airports before then returning to their Archerfield base.  They had flown North on Friday 8 July.

Meanwhile, also on Sunday 10 July, Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) / Qantas Group Pilot Academy Diamond DA-40 Star VH-YTR visited Bundaberg and Rockhampton Airports while flying out of and back to its Toowoomba-Wellcamp base.

While Rockwell International 112 VH-PJO departed Rockhampton Airport for Toowoomba before later returning to the beef capital.

And Victoria-based Cessna R182 VH-UAR departed Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport for Melbourne (Moorabbin).  It had arrived in the Whitsundays from the Northern Territory at the end of last month.

Finally, a couple of bizjets also around, also on Sunday 10 July, included the familiar sight of Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM which called into Longreach Airport, arriving from Bankstown and departing to Vanrook Station near Normanton.

And after arriving from there yesterday, Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-OLJ departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Brisbane.

Finally, late on Saturday 9 July, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XNF as "Rescue 550" flew down from Cairns to complete airwork (possibly a search) around the Longreach area before eventually landing at Longreach Airport to refuel now in the wee small hours of Sunday 10 July.  It then returned to Cairns.
