A surprise weekend movement on
Sunday 12 November with Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules A97-464 noted completing a missed approach at Hamilton Island Airport. It looked to fly down from Townsville and was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Ausy 847".

It then looked to fly all the way down to RAAF Base Richmond.
The Herc looked to originally head overseas from RAAF Base Amberley the previous day.
