After landing, it taxied in and was parked on Gate 6 on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport parking apron.
After a short turnaround, the MRTT departed Rockhampton Airport and headed back to Darwin again as 'SAF8551'. It should continue to Singapore the next day.
Of interest, the A330-MRTT is one of six flown by the RSAF's 112 Squadron, whose motto is 'Determined To Deliver'.
The RSAF A330-MRTT aircraft, like the RAAF's KC-30A's, can conduct air-to-air refuelling and airlift roles simultaneously.
Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 16 September, RSAF Lockheed C-130H Hercules with serial number '733', also flew across from Darwin but as SAF9570 and landed at RAAF Base Amberley. It had arrived into Darwin from Singapore the previous day.
It appears to be returning to Darwin (and Singapore) over the next couple of days.
