A Couple of Cessna Citation Bizjets - VH-MMC and VH-CDG - Call into Emerald Airport This Week

Emerald Airport has played host to a couple of bizjets this week with a regular visitor in the form of Mackellar Mining Equipment / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-MMC calling once again from the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday 15 September.

After staying for the night, VH-MMC returned to the Sunny Coast on Wednesday 16 September.

Meanwhile, touching down at Emerald Airport on Wednesday 16 September was Professional Jet Aviation Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-CDG.

It appears that VH-CDG took the 'scenic way' to get to Emerald from its Gold Coast Airport base, with the Citation noted performing airwork - including a missed approach - at Hamilton Island Airport before it flew inland to Emerald.

VH-CDG returned to the Gold Coast later on Wednesday.

Finally, it's also worth noting a couple of interesting light General Aviation (GA) visitors to Emerald Airport over the course of the week including  Wolff Aviation Hawker Beechcraft C90GTi VH-VWG was noted departing Emerald for its Toowoomba base on Monday 14 September, Atlass Aviation (Aerial Topographic Laser Survey Systems) Beechcraft A36 Bonanza VH-IOL arrived from Rockhampton on Thursday 17 September and another Hawker Beechcraft C90GTi King Air VH-JJU called into Emerald briefly on Friday 18 September from Townsville and Eidsvold.  It later departed to its Cloncurry base.
