Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 Spotted Completing Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 10 December, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 was spotted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.


The C-17 departed RAAF Base Amberley completed airwork including missed approaches at the Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg Airports before it continued up to Rockhampton Airport.

After completing the missed approach, the A41-211 departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Amberley.

A41-211 was noted flying as "Stallion 56".

Meanwhile, also on Friday 10 December, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-005 was noted completing a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

It was flying as "Wedgetail 14" and looked to fly up to Hervey Bay from RAAF Base Williamtown near Newcastle in New South Wales via airwork at the Gold Coast. After completing its airwork at Hervey Bay Airport, A30-005 flew back South to Williamtown via more airwork at Coffs Harbour.
