Nioa Aviation (Avcair) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 Bizjet VH-NJR Spotted at Maryborough Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 17 April, Nioa Aviation (Avcair) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-NJR was photographed on the ground at Maryborough Airport. 


While Careflight (NT) Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-ZCN as "Careflight 27" landed at Longreach Airport from Toowoomba before it then departed to Mount Isa and Darwin.

LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" landed at Mackay Airport from Townsville and then departed to Brisbane.  It and sister-ships are still making mutiple visits to CQ Airports each week.

And National Jet Express Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-IYJ flew into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane as 'JTE452'.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 18 April, VH-IYJ as 'JTE444' departed Rockhampton Airport for Townsville and is due back later in the night.  Looks like another Rugby League football charter flight.

Finally, on a quiet Thursday 16 April, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-006 as "Wedgetail 04" was noted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.  It flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown via a missed approach at the Gold Coast before then returning direct to Williamtown.

LifeFlight and QGAir Rescue Helicopters Pass Through CQ Airports Heading to All Corners of the State - Plus a Few Bizjets Around too!!

On Wednesday 1 April, LifeFlight Leonardo SPA Helicopters AW139 helicopter VH-LF4 landed at Longreach Airport from Archerfield and Roma Airports and then departed to Mount Isa.  It will operated there as "Rescue 400".


Then on Thursday 2 April, fellow LifeFlight AW139 helicopter VH-LF3 also passed through Longreach Airport arriving from Mount Isa and departing for Roma Airport and the Sunshine Coast.

While also on Wednesday 1 April, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-ESZ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and then departed to Archerfield.  It will operate there as "Rescue 521".

Then on Thursday 2 April, fellow QGAir AW139 helicopter VH-EZJ also passed through Rockhampton Airport arriving from Archerfield and departing to Townsville.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 2 April, there were several corporate bizjets noted around various Central Queensland Airports.

 Graham Aviation (Cairns) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-FMZ departed Longreach Airport for Cairns and Mareeba.  It appears to have arrived from those places on Tuesday 31 March and was photographed below on Wednesday 1 April.


Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Dassault Falcon 7X A56-001 "Envoy 18" popped into Charleville Airport arriving from Canberra and departing to Moree and then back to Canberra.

Poolhurst Aviation Air Charter Services new Pilatus PC-24 jet VH-VTF arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield and then departed to Hamilton Island Airport - BUT it diverted into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport before then departing there and heading back to Archerfield. 

Nioa Aviation (Avcair) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-NJR visited Hamilton Island Airport from Brisbane.

Linfox Global Charter / Air National Australia Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global 6000 bizjet VH-LEP arrived into Hamilton Island Airport from Melbourne (Essendon). 

Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY flew into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from the Sunshine Coast.  It then departed to Melbourne (Essendon).

And McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Beech B200 King Air VH-ZPY as "Machflight 73/121" visited Hamilton Island Airport from Cairns.

Finally, on a relatively quiet Wednesday 1 April, Bowenville based (operated by Real Time Aviation - Brisbane) Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ, which landed at Natal Downs on Monday, hopped to Clermont Aerodrome and then Emerald Airport before later returning to Clermont Aerodrome and then departing there to Archerfield.

LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 Helicopter VH-XIA as "Rescue 599" Spotted at Clermont Hospital - Plus More!

Late on Thursday 19 March, LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 Helicopter VH-XIA as "Rescue 599" was spotted by me as it flew into Clermont Hospital on what we believe to be a medical retrieval flight.


It flew down from Townsville and Moranbah and then to Clermont Hospital before it then completed a medical evacuation flight to Mackay Airport. It then flew back to Townsville. This aircraft was at Longreach Airport last week - as posted below.

UPDATE!  On Monday 23 March, AW139 VH-XIA as "Rescue 599" flew down from Townsville to Archerfield via Mackay, Gladstone and Caloundra Airports.

Then on Friday 20 March, McDermott Aviation Bell 214B-1 BigLifter VH-SZV (ex P2-MBH) passed through Rockhampton Airport from the South to the North. 

UPDATE!  VH-SZV was spotted at Cooktown on Saturday 21 March.

And Poolhurst Aviation Air Charter Services new Pilatus PC-24 jet VH-VTF flew up to Hamilton Island from Archerfield. 

UPDATE!  On Saturday 21 March, VH-VTF departed Hamilton Island Airport for Sydney.

Finally, also on Friday 20 March, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-206 as "Stallion 61" flew up the inland from RAAF Base Amberley via overhead Emerald to complete a missed approach at Hamilton Island Airport.  It then flew South to complete one more missed approach at Rockhampton Airport before then flying down to Amberley.

And Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft A34-006 as "Wallaby 52" flew low level up the inland from Amberley to near Emerald before then flying East to near Bundaberg and then back to Amberley.

Kirsh Air (NSW) Cessna 340A VH-DRA Calls into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 13 March, NSW based Kirsh Air (NSW) Cessna 340A VH-DRA flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from the Gold Coast.  It had flown into the Goldie from its Bankstown base the previous day.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 17 March, VH-DRA finally departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to the Gold Coast and Bankstown.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 13 March, the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ flew from Mackay Airport to Melbourne (Essendon).

And Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) and Melbourne (Essendon) to Roma Airport and then the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.  It then returned directly to Moorabbin.

Finally, also on Friday 13 March, LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIA flying as "Rescue 599" flew up to Longreach Airport from the Sunshine Coast and Roma Airport.

Of interest, fellow LifeFlight Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIU as "Guardian 10" looks to be still operating out of Bundaberg Airport after arriving in the middle of the week from the Sunshine Coast via Gladstone Airport.

UPDATE!  Over the weekend, VH-XIU "Guardian 10" departed Bundaberg Airport for Archerfield.

Multiquip Poultry / Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100EV Bizjet VH-MQX "Navair 131" Calls into Moranbah Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 10 March, Multiquip Poultry / Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100EV bizjet VH-MQX as "Navair 131" landed at Moranbah Airport from Bankstown.

It was then due to fly to Mackay Airport but on departure had a technical problem and returned to Moranbah Airport - where it stayed!

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 10 March, RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH flew up from Toowoomba to Biloela / Thangool Airport and then to Bundaberg Airport before then flying back to Toowoomba.

Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX VH-LYI flew into Middlemount Aerodrome from Lady Elliott Island and Rockhampton Airport before it then flew down to Maryborough Airport and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

And LifeFlight Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIU as "Guardian 10" landed at Bundaberg Airport from Kingaroy.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 11 March, VH-XIU "Guardian 10" flew up from Bundaberg Airport to Gladstone Airport and a bit later returned to Bundy.

Plus fellow LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIH flew up from Archerfield to Bundaberg Airport and then Gladstone Airport and then back to Bundaberg.

LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 Helicopter VH-XIJ "Rescue 522" Completes Medical Evacuation from 'Carnival Adventure' off Bundaberg - Plus More!

On Monday 2 March, LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIJ as "Rescue 522" flew up from Bundaberg Airport to Gladstone Airport and then down to the Sunshine Coast before later returning to Bundaberg Airport and then completing two Search and Rescue (SAR) flights to the North-East of Bundy.

Surveillance Australia (Leidos SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XNC as "Rescue 440" flew down from Cairns to oversee the SAR operations by VH-XIJ "Rescue 522" for a few hours then returned to Cairns.  It is believed this may have also included a passenger extraction from the cruise ship 'Carnival Adventure'.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 2 March, pair of Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 helicopters were noted at Rockhampton Airport. VH-ESH flew down from Townsville and then departed onwards to Archerfield as "Rescue 500", while VH-EGK arrived from Archerfield as "Rescue 500" and then departed to Townsville.

And Far North Queensland based Diamond DA 50 C VH-88R visited Mackay Airport from Mareeba.

Finally, over the weekend on both Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March, NQ Heli-Worx (Townsville) Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 VH-8GK continued to operate flights between Townsville and Hamilton Island Airport - including three return flights on Sunday.  VH-8GK operated one more flight (which seems to be the last one for now) on Monday 2 March.

And also on Saturday 28 February,  the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ  flew back to Mackay Airport from Brisbane after flying down to there at the start of last week.

Plus Cirrus SR22 N312GM looked to complete airwork at Maryborough Airport while on a flight out of and back to the Sunshine Coast.

Central Highlands Aerial Services (CHAS) (Emerald) SOCATA TBM 700 VH-FYN Out and About to Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 27 February, Central Highlands Aerial Services (CHAS) SOCATA TBM 700 VH-FYN was noted flying from their landing site near Emerald to Rockhampton Airport and then back.


And Koolardie Aviation (ZephAir Australia) Raytheon 58 Baron VH-NSM as 'ZD550 visited Clermont Aerodrome from Townsville.

Meanwhile, on Thursday 26 February, M. D. H. P/L (Cloncurry) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-MDH flew up from Archerfield to Kierawonga this morning, then flew from there to Rockhampton Airport and back.

UPDATE!  On Friday 27 February, PC-12 VH-MDH departed Kierawonga to Devoncourt Station.

And also on Thursday 26 February, LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIJ as "Rescue 522" flew out from Bundaberg Airport to Biloela Sports Field, beside the Hospital, and a bit later departed to Rockhampton Base Hospital and then a bit later departed there back to Bundaberg Airport.

Of interest, VH-XIJ becomes the 23rd different helicopter to land on the Rockhampton Base Hospital.

QantasLink (National Jet Systems) Airbus A220-300 VH-X4G First Visit of Type to Rockhampton Airport BUT on a Diversion from Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 15 January, poor weather over the Whitsundays saw QantasLink (National Jet Systems) Airbus A220-300 VH-X4G operating as QLK1592 from Brisbane to Hamilton Island Airport unable to land at Hamo and divert into Rockhampton Airport.


This is the first time that an Airbus A220 has landed at Rockhampton Airport.

After taking on fuel, the A220 was unable to continue to Hamilton Island and instead re-positioned back to Brisbane as QLK7801. 

And a little later, Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIQ as VOZ1283 from Sydney to Hamilton Island Airport was also unable to land up there and also diverted into Rockhampton Airport.


VH-YIQ departed Rocky and was able to land at Hamilton Island Airport before it then returned down to Sydney as VOZ1282.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 15 January, Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) and Melbourne (Essendon) to Hamilton Island Airport.

UPDATE!  On Friday 16 January, VH-XCU departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Essendon and then Moorabbin.

Pilatus Australia (South Australia) Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet VH-DMS looked to depart Hamilton Island Airport for Mackay Airport and then down to Cessnock.

Late in the day, Avcair LearJet 60 bizjet VH-AVL visited Mackay Airport from Brisbane.

While FlyPelican (Pelican Airlines) British Aerospace BAe Jetstream 3206 (Jetstream 32) turboprop aircraft VH-ACV completed the Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight into Emerald Airport from Archerfield and Toowoomba-Wellcamp.  It also completed a similar flight late on Wednesday 14 January.

And LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIA flying as "Rescue 599" departed Mackay Airport for Gladstone Airport and Archerfield.  It had flown up last Saturday 10 January.

Henadeck (New South Wales) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-YNE at Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Saturday 10 January, Henadeck (New South Wales) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-YNE departed Hamilton Island Airport for the Gold Coast.  It appears to have arrived last Sunday 4 January from Bankstown - and we missed it!

Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) to Hamilton Island Airport before then flying down to Melbourne (Essendon) and back to Moorabbin.

Pilatus Australia (South Australia) Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet VH-DMS flew up from Cessnock to Hamilton Island Airport before then flying down to Toowoomba.

Mandalay Two P/L Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SCQ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba and then departed to Archerfield and then back to Toowoomba.

It looked like VH-SCQ also visited Roma Airport last week too! 

And LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIA flying as "Rescue 599" flew up from Archerfield to Bundaberg Airport, Rockhampton Airport and then Mackay Airport before it later continued on to Townsville.

We presume it is on stand-by should it be needed to assist with any rescues or the clean-up following the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Koji which has formed in North Queensland waters.

There has also been some flight disruptions and cancellations around the Whitsundays Airport with at least virgin Australia cancelling flights into Proserpine, Hamilton Island and Mackay Airports, while Townsville Airport has closed as of 1600hrs in Saturday afternoon.

American-based Super Blue Moon LLC Bombardier BD-700-2A12 Global 7500 Bizjet N750CR Calls into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 21 November, new American-based Super Blue Moon LLC Bombardier BD-700-2A12 Global 7500 bizjet N750CR flew down from Cairns to Hamilton Island Airport. It had arrived into Cairns (pictured) from Hawaii over the weekend.



UPDATE!  On Saturday 22 November, N750CR departed Hamo for Townsville (pictured below) and overseas.



Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM landed at Emerald Airport from Mareeba and then departed to the South.

Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from Dubbo.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 23 November, VH-VKX departed Hamo and returned to Dubbo.

While LifeFlight Kawasaki BK117 B-2 helicopter VH-EHQ, which had landed at Emerald Airport from Mount Isa yesterday, departed there for Biloela / Thangool Airport and then Archerfield.  It used to operate as "Rescue 400" out of Mount Isa.

Angel Flight Australia Cessna 414A Chancellor VH-AF4 visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Archerfield.

Townsville Airlines (Flightech Air Logistics) Cessna 402C Utiliner/Businessliner VH-UCM visited Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Cairns.

And three Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Beech B300 Super King Air 350i aircraft were all noted in the region at different times.  VH-8PD arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane and then departed to Townsville. It later returned South again via Rockhampton Airport.  VH-8PH arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville and then departed back to Cairns.  And VH-8PF visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Brisbane.

Finally, also on Friday 21 November, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-006 as "Wedgetail 34" flew from RAAF Base Williamtown down to complete a missed approach at Albury and then up to one at Coffs Harbour before then completing another missed approach at Rockhampton Airport before continuing up to Townsville.

And Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft A34-005 as "Wallaby 84" looked to call into Bundaberg Airport while on a flight out of and back to RAAF Base Amberley.

SmartLynx Australia Dash-8-202 VH-TQX Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 12 November, SmartLynx Australia Dash-8-202 VH-TQX as "Skytrans 541" was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns before later departing to Sydney.


We presume it will then take up operating the SmartLynx Australia flights to Lord Howe Island.

UPDATE!  Indeed on Thursday 13 December, fellow SmartLynx Australia Dash-8-200 VH-TQS positioned from Sydney direct to Cairns.  Then on Tuesday 18 November, VH-TQS commenced a flight out of Australia via Darwin all the way over to Nairobi in Kenya.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) Gippsland Aeronautics GA8 Airvan VH-MFI landed at Longreach Airport from Mount Isa.


UPDATE!  On Thursday 13 November, VH-MFI plus fellow MAF GA8 Airvan VH-WOS departed Longreach Airport for Mareeba.

Nautilus Aviation Airbus Helicopters EC 130 T2 VH-ZPH was noted departing Clermont Aerodrome. This registration marking is best known as being worn by a Virgin Australia Embraer E-190.

Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH landed at Gladstone Airport from Archerfield and this afternoon departed back to there.

ZephAir Australia Piper PA-34-220T Seneca VH-YSI as 'ZD440' arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and then did survey work to the North before returning to Rocky.

LifeFlight Leonardo Helicopters S.P.A. (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-LF3 landed at Longreach Airport from Toowoomba and Roma Airports.


UPDATE!  On Thursday 13 November, AW139 LF3 departed Longreach Airport for Mount Isa where it is now to be based.  Through the day, it then flew circuits at Mount Isa Airport and also at the Hospital.

LifeFlight Leonardo SPA Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIR Spotted at Rockhampton Airport Receiving Maintenance(?) - Plus More!

On Wednesday 5 November, LifeFlight Leonardo SPA Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIR was spotted operating out of Rockhampton Airport, completing what seemed to be a test flight from the Alliance Airlines hangar to over Pirate Point then Hedlow Airfield where it seemed to complete some training.




VH-XIR then returned to the Alliance Airlines where it has been for some time where it has been possibly receiving some planned maintenance (?).

Of interest, VH-XIR completed similar flights last week including some night flying.

UPDATE!  On Friday 7 November, VH-XIR departed Rockhampton Airport for Bundaberg Airport.  It then continued to Archerfield on Saturday 8 November and seems to be completing short local flights out of Archerfield.

Also Careflight Kawasaki BK117 B-2 helicopter VH-IME as "Careflight 2" landed at Longreach Airport from Tindal, Burketown, Mount Isa and Winton and then departed to Charleville Airport. It had come from Darwin yesterday.

Meanwhile, Rural Funds Management (A.C.T.) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-STE has been in the region this week, flying up from Canberra on Monday 3 November to Brisbane, Maryborough and Bundaberg Airports, before then calling into Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 4 November.  On Wednesday 5 November, VH-STE departed Rocky for Rolleston and Springsure Aerodromes before then flying down to Brisbane.  It was due to return to Canberra from Brisbane on Thursday 6 November.

Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12/47E NGX VH-8HP has also been the region yet again, flying out of Tierawoomba on Monday 3 November and returning there on Wednesday but not before it visited places like Windorah, Millmerin, Toowoomba, Warwick, Keeroongooloo, as well as Bundaberg and Emerald Airports.

And ZephAir Australia - Aircraft Charters Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-AYT as ZD220 visited Clermont Aerodrome from Townsville.

Finally, also on Wednesday 5 November, Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) to Hamilton Island Airport before then flying back down to Melbourne (Essendon) and then back to Moorabbin.

 McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-SUY as "Machflight 421" flew up from the Sunshine Coast to Bundaberg Airport before flying down to Sydney.  It then returned back to Bundy and the Sunny Coast.  Busy day!

And Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY flew up from Melbourne (Moorabbin) to Chinchilla Aerodrome and then Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 6 November, VH-WMY departed Archerfield for Essendon before flying back up to Ararat and then Mackay Airport before then ending the day at the Gold Coast.

ASL Airlines Australia Boeing B737-800(BCF) VH-CYK Pops into Mackay Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 17 September, ASL Airlines Australia Boeing B737-800(BCF) VH-CYK was noted visiting Mackay Airport.

It arrived from and then later departed back to Cairns as "PARTEC9801/2".

Of interest, ASL Airlines Australia recently took delivery of their second Boeing B737-800(BCF) VH-RAN which was delivered via Brisbane as 2-BTPO.



Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 17 September, Navair Flight Operations Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PAC flew down from Mareeba to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport.  It then flew up to Innisfail but then looked to return to Prosie and then later fly back to Mareeba.  VH-PAC arrived into Far North Queensland over the weekend just gone.

Southern Air Services Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1 bizjet VH-APJ landed at Blackall Airport from Dalby.

Burbank Homes / Business Aviation Solutions Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-BMW flew up from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to the Sunshine Coast and then Hamilton Island Airport before then returning South.

Machjet (Machjet International) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 605 bizjet N605JL visited Moranbah Airport from the Sunshine Coast via Brisbane.

Indara Holdings / Corporate and Luxury Air Charter Textron (Cessna) 525 CitationJet M2 VH-8RT flew up from Deniliquin, Swan Hill and Archerfield to Mackay Airport before then heading back to Archerfield

While FlyPelican (Pelican Airlines) British Aerospace BAe Jetstream 3206 (Jetstream 32) turboprop aircraft VH-NTL completed the Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight into Emerald Airport from Archerfield and Toowoomba-Wellcamp.  It also planned to complete a similar flight Thursday 18 September.

Austrek Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-ZMW arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane and then departed to Mackay and Townsville Airports.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 18 September, VH-ZMW returned South via Mackay and Rockhampton Airports to Brisbane.

And school holiday charter flights have starting ferrying students home to locations in Far North Queensland including National Jet Express (NJE) Dash-8-Q400 VH-8QA which arrived into Rockhampton Airport.  While out at Charters Towers Aerodrome, Cessna 208 Caravans VH-NXU and VH-OUS have flown from Cairns and out to Palm Island, Mareeba and Cooktown, plus Machjet's King Air VH-??? as "Machflight 313" also arrived from Cairns but departed to Doomadgee.

Finally, late on Tuesday 16 September, Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-EZJ as "Rescue 500" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield and dropped off a passenger, refuelled and then returned to Archerfield. 

Then on Wednesday 17 September, LifeFlight Leonardo SPA Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIR arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Bundaberg Airport.  It parked up at the Alliance Airlines Hangar and will be there for a while.

Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 Bizjet VH-87X Spotted at Gladstone Airport - Plus More!


On Monday 8 September, Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-87X was spotted parked up at Gladstone Airport.








It had arrived into the port city from Sydney late on Sunday 7 September and departed back to the New South Wales capital later on Monday.

Air Gold Coast Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-ZDM flew up from Gold Coast to Hamilton Island Airport and then down to Sydney and back to the Goldie. 

Brenzil Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X bizjet VH-CRW visited Hamilton Island Airport from Brisbane. 

Re-registered Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew down from Hamilton Island Airport to Archerfield and Dubbo.  It flew up from those places on Thursday 4 September.

Of interest VH-VKX was re-registered to Navair Flight Operations in late May this year.

And Rockhampton-based Piper PA-24-260B Comanche VH-AZK departed Clermont Aerodrome for Rockhampton Airport.  It had arrived into my local from Hedlow Airfield on Saturday 8 September.

And over a quiet weekend, on Sunday 7 September, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM looked to fly up from Tamworth to Longreach Airport before continuing up the North West.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 8 September, LifeFlight Australia Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopters AW139 VH-LF2 as "LifeFlight 2" was spotted at Longreach Airport.  It flew in from Archerfield via Roma Airport.


UPDATE!  On Tuesday 9 September, VH-LF2 "Lifeflight 2" continued out to Mount Isa and over the week, operated around Cloncurry.  At the end of that week, it returned to Longreach and Roma Airports and then Toowoomba and Archerfield on Saturday 13 September.

Finally, also on Monday 8 September, A34-002 as 'KAOS37' was noted briefly visiting Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport while on a flight out of and back to RAAF Base Amberley.

LifeFlight Leonardo / Agusta Helicopters VH-XIU "Guardian 20" & VH-XIA "Guardian 10" Pop into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 5 September, a pair of LifeFlight helicopters called into Rockhampton Airport.


Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIU as "Guardian 20" (pictured) and Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIA as "Guardian 10" came in together from Williamson Airfield within the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) with VH-XIU landing at Rockhampton Airport and VH-XIA flying a circuit of the Rockhampton Base Hospital Heli-Pad.

Both then returned to Shoalwater Bay.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 5 September, newly registered Heli-Aust Whitsundays Airbus Helicopters EC135P3H H135 helicopter VH-XV7 landed at Gladstone Airport from Redcliffe.  It then departed to Mackay Airport.

Of interest, fellow Heli-Aust Whitsundays Eurocopter EC135 P2+ helicopter VH-XUV has recently returned to the region, flying into Gladstone Airport mid-way through August and taking up operations there.  It had previously been operating around the Newcastle area in New South Wales.

And Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopter (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-EGK ferried South from Townsville to Archerfield via Emerald Airport.

Finally, also on Friday 5 September, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" flew down from Townsville to Mackay Airport and Rockhampton Airport before then flying down to Brisbane.

Of interest, over the last couple of weeks, VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" has made mutiple visits to Rocky and Mackay Airports - as well as making visits to Bundaberg, Longreach and Moranbah Airports.

Sistership VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" has also been busy, also making multiple visits to Rockhampton and Mackay Airports as well as also visiting Longreach, Blackall, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airports.

And VH-URR "Ambulance 604" visited Mackay Airport on multiple occasions, as well as visiting Hervey Bay, Rockhampton and Emerald Airports.

While VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" continues to operate out of Singapore (Seletar).

Alliance Airlines (ex JetBlue Airways - USA) Embraer ERJ-190AR N274JB Arrives into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Sunday 17 August, Alliance Airlines (ex JetBlue Airways - USA) Embraer ERJ-190AR N274JB arrived into Rockhampton Airport at the end of a delivery flight as 'SXI2536' / "Southern Cross 2536".


It arrived from Brisbane having started its delivery flight at San Jose (Costa Rica) and flying via Oakland, Hawaii and the Marshall Islands.

As shown, N274JB was delivered in a basic JetBlue Airways livery.  It will reportedly be going to be placed on the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-A2S.

N274JB was promptly parked inside the Alliance Airlines hangar at Rockhampton Airport.

UPDATE!  After being placed on the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-A2S, the E-190 departed Rockhampton Airport for Wagga Wagga on Wednesday 25 November where reports suggest it will be re-painted in a special livery on behalf of Alliance Airlines.  We shall wait and see!!

Meanwhile, also on Sunday 17 August, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Beech B300 Super King Air A32-675 as "Beaufort 02" landed at Longreach Airport from Canberra and a bit later departed to the North West.

Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM departed Longreach Airport to Vanrook Station near Normanton.

McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525C CitationJet CJ4 bizjet VH-PIY "Machflight 41" arrived into Emerald Airport from Cairns.


UPDATE!  On Monday 18 August, VH-PIY "Machflight 41" departed Emerald Airport for Brisbane.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" has had a busy couple of days, yesterday flying up from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to Mackay Airport and then Townsville before then today, returning to Mackay Airport and then Brisbane before then flying back up to Rockhampton and Mackay Airports and then back to Townsville.

Of interest, sistership VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" has - over the last couple of weeks - visited Mackay Airport on multiple times, plus Longreach, Hervey Bay, Emerald and Rockhampton Airports.

VH-URR "Ambulance 604" flew back into Brisbane on Saturday 2 August from Singapore (Seletar) via Adelaide and looked to start operating back in Queensland over the last couple of weeks including to some local places including Emerald, Gladstone and Rockhampton Airports, as well as mutiple visits to Mackay and Longreach Airports.

And VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" VH-OFA looked to head overseas and operate out of Singapore (Seletar).

ASL Airlines Australia Boeing B737-800(BCF) VH-CYK Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 1 August, ASL Airlines Australia Boeing B737-800(BCF) VH-CYK was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport.




It appeared to visit from Brisbane as "PARTEC9804/3".

Meanwhile, also on Friday 1 August, Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) SAAB 340B+ turboprop VH-VEB, which landed at Longreach Airport from Brisbane last night, departed Longreach Airport to Birdsville, Broken Hill, Wagga Wagga and then back to Brisbane. 

Finally, also on Friday 1 August, American-registered Bombardier BD-700-1A11 Global 5000 bizjet N18HA departed Hamilton Island Airport for Cairns.  As mentioned below, it had arrived a couple of days prior.

And over the last couple of weeks, we continued to see multiple visits by two out of the four LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjets.

VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" visited Biloela / Thangool, Hervey Bay, Blackall and Gladstone Airports - with multiple visits to Mackay and Rockhampton Airports.

VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" visited Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Emerald, Longreach, Bundaberg, Charleville, Barcaldine and Proserpine Airports.

While VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" seemed to spend time in the hangar and VH-URR "Ambulance 604" continued to operate overseas.

Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 - Luftwaffe (German Air Force) Airbus A400M Atlas Transport Aircraft 54+14 as 'GAF61' Back at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 17 July, Luftwaffe (German Air Force) Airbus A400M Atlas Transport Aircraft 54+14 as 'GAF61' flew up from RAAF Base Amberley low level with a loop at a beach near Bundaberg and one near Calliope before landing at Rockhampton Airport. It then departed to Townsville.


Like the previous day, two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) British Aerospace (BAe) Hawk 127 jets completed two sorties during the day out of and back to Rockhampton Airport as "Puma".

Similarly, two Astra Aerospace / Air Affairs (Australia) Learjet 35A bizjets also completed two sorties during the day out of and back to Rockhampton Airport but as "Blackjack".  Looks like they went up as far as Mackay today.

And LifeFlight Australia (Eagle Copters Leasing) Bell Helicopter Textron 412EP VH-XGB as "Guardian 20" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield and the Sunshine Coast.  It then departed to Mackay Airport.

Tecnam P2006T VH-TE6 on Demonstration Tour of Some CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 11 July, Tecnam P2006T VH-TE6 flew from Mackay Airport to Biloela / Thangool Airport.

The Tecnam demonstration aircraft arrived into Mackay Airport from Townsville the previous day - as shown above!

And Comet-registered Cessna 208B Grand Caravan VH-RTC flew out from Hedlow Airfield to Emerald Airport before continuing to Mount Isa and further West.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 11 July, Graham Aviation (Cairns) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-FMZ flew into Hamilton Island Airport from Mareeba and then departed Hamo and returned North.

Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from Sydney.

Bowenville based (operated by Real Time Aviation - Brisbane) Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ flew up from Wagga Wagga to Clermont Aerodrome and then Natal Downs before later flying down to Dalby and Archerfield.

And Re-registered Flight Options (Australia) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-LJX visited Hamilton Island Airport from its new Sunshine Coast base.

Finally, also on Friday 11 July, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" flew up from Brisbane to Mackay Airport before continuing to Townsville.

Of interest, over the last couple of weeks, VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" has made also made visits to Hervey Bay, Moranbah, Rockhampton, Longreach and Charleville Airports.

Sistership VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" has also been busy, making multiple visits to Rockhampton and Longreach Airports, plus visiting Hervey Bay, Barcaldine, Mackay, and Cloncurry Airports

And VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" spent much of the last couple of weeks in the hangar only to emerge on Thursday 10 July and complete a visit to Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.

While VH-URR "Ambulance 604" continues to operate out of Singapore (Seletar).

Textron Aviation Inc (Wichita, Kansas) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX N813EX at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

Late on Thursday 26 June, Textron Aviation Inc of Wichita, Kansas Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX N813EX arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Katherine and Mount Isa.

Then on Friday 27 June, N813EX flew to Rolleston Aerodrome and back and this afternoon departed Rockhampton Airport for the Gold Coast. 

Meanwhile, also on Friday 27 June, Townsville Airlines Beech 1900D VH-JYA arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville.  It then departed back to Cairns.

And Scone (NSW) based Textron Aviation B200GT King Air VH-8PO landed at Emerald Airport from Scone and then departed to Lizard Island. 

UPDATE!  On Monday 30 June, VH-8PO looked to fly back South, again calling into Emerald Airport.

Finally, also on Friday 27 June, Cirrus Design Corp. SF50 Vision Jet N616TS landed at Gladstone Airport from the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour before then departing back to there. 

Brisbane-based Adome P/L (Air Link, Dubbo) Cessna 525 CitationJet M2 bizjet VH-YWS flew up from Archerfield and Warwick to Alpha Aerodrome.  Races this weekend!

UPDATE!  On Sunday 29 June, VH-YWS departed Alpha Aerodrome for Roma Airport and then back to Warwick and Archerfield.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and Toowoomba-Wellcamp and then departed to Brisbane. 

Of interest, over the last couple of weeks, VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" has also visited Gladstone, and Longreach Airports, and made mutiple visits to Mackay and Rockhampton Airports.

While sistership  VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" did some cross-country and international flights.  And VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" mostly remained in the hangar at Brisbane.
