Closure of Great Keppel Island Airstrip Effective Immediately

Notice has been given that the airstrip on Great Keppel Island has been closed down effective immediately.

It has been advised however, that this is only a temporary closure, due to a combination of the condition of the strip, insurance, as well as animals on the strip.

As soon as these issues are resolved, the strip will be reopened, but no timeframe has been given.
