Some Interesting Movements at Fraser Coast Airports This Week - Incl NSW-based PA-31 VH-XLA

I've noted a few interesting movements in the Fraser Coast Airports over particularly the latter part of this week.  Perhaps the most interesting visitor to the region was Australian Aerial Surveys (Metro Holdings Australia) Piper PA-31-350 Navajo VH-XLA.

The Piper reportedly flys medical missions predominately in New South Wales, and on Friday 5 December, it called into Bundaberg Airport from Lismore as "MDA234".  After just over an hour on the ground, VH-XLA departed back to Lismore.

Also calling into Bundy this week was Brisbane-based Cessna 414A VH-FCZ, Maroochy Air Cessna 182 VH-TOE, Mooney M-20J VH-CMO and Lancair IV VH-LKG of Vanderfield in Toowoomba.

Meanwhile, over at Maryborough Airport, Seair Cessna 208 Caravan VH-LMZ was spotted on Thursday 4 December as it called in while on a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter from Middlemount.  Also, The Redcliffe Aero Club's Cessna 310R was noted calling in on Wednesday 3 December.

Finally, it seems the Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport was the busiest with light visitors including another Seair Cessna 208 Caravan VH-LYT which called in on Saturday 6 December from Redcliffe and later departed to Lady Elliot Island.

Some of the other visitors to Hervey Bay included Maroochy Air Piper PA-46R-350T Malibu VH-UPY which has been a frequent visitor this week, also locally-based Piper PA-24-260 VH-TMZ flew to the Gold Coast and back, and Cessna 172 VH-RQY of the Airline Academy of Australia (based in Brisbane) called in.

One final visitor to Hervey Bay on Friday 5 December was Mustang Aeronautics Bushby Mustang MII VH-LVP.

It arrived from the Gold Coast.

Certainly another busy week!
