A Pair of Australian Army Tiger ARH Helicopters Call into Rockhampton Airport Heading North - A38-008 & A38-014

And just when they thought their day was over, local plane spotters Kayanne H and Trevor H were at the right place at the right time on Sunday 20 March to capture the arrival into Rockhampton Airport of a pair of Australian Army Eurocopter (ARH) Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters.

The two Tigers - A38-008 and A38-014 - flew into Rockhampton from the South.

After taking on fuel they both departed further North to Townsville.  The Tigers were heard to be using the radio callsign "Blade".

There may be more helicopter traffic heading North to Townsville over the next week with a series of Army and Air Force exercises starting to take place from next weekend.

Thanks guys!
