Fellow Torres Strait Air Islander VH-EXC was spotted performing a similar flight but via Rockhampton Airport in mid-February.  It would be expected that VH-URJ should return North in the coming days!

Meanwhile, as reported below, previously Mackay Airport based CQ Warbird Adventures' Yakovlev Yak 52 VH-YAF departed the sugar city seemingly for good also on Sunday 20 March for Rockhampton and Bundaberg while on a ferry flight to its new home at Boonah.

Finally, a couple of other light General Aviation (GA) aircraft to pop into Mackay Airport on Sunday 20 March included Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Reims F406 VH-EYQ which called in from Emerald.

Victoria-based Beech A36 Bonanza VH-WBO also called in but from Lord Howe Island and Sunshine Coast.

And Rockhampton-based Piper PA-28-140 Saratogo VH-UWB departed to Rocky.
