Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100s VH-XWS and VH-XWT Fly Charters Through Hamilton Island and Rockhampton Airports

A couple of interesting movements by a pair of Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 jets on Saturday 12 March seeing them operating separate charter flights through Hamilton Island and Rockhampton Airports.

VH-XWS called into Hamilton Island Airport early on Saturday morning from Brisbane as UTY550 before departing to Ayres Rock in the 'Red Centre' as UTY551.

Of interest, VH-XWS was also noted flying into Mackay Airport on Friday 11 March, operating what looked to be a flight from and back to Brisbane on behalf of QantasLink as UTY6200/6201.

Then a little later on Saturday morning, VH-XWT called into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville as UTY3381.  It is believed that the Fokker may have brought junior aged players and some officials of the Townsville Blackhawks Queensland Rugby League (QRL) team who played junior rugby league games in Rocky on Saturday.

At the time of writing, VH-XWT is scheduled to depart Rockhampton back to Townsville later on Saturday 12 March.
