Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia Bell 412EP Helicopter VH-VAU Starts Flying for CQ Rescue from Mackay Airport - UPDATED!

It appears that Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia Bell 412EP helicopter VH-VAU has finally commenced operations out of Mackay Airport for the locally based RACQ Central Queensland Rescue Service (CQ Rescue).

An UPDATED photo of VH-VAU on a sortie to a ship off Mackay  (https://www.facebook.com/CQRescue/)

VH-VAU had arrived into Mackay Airport in January and appears to have spent much of February in the CQ Rescue hangar.

VH-VAU has since completed a number short local test flights and appears to have completed its first mission for CQ Rescue on Tuesday 3 March when it flew from Mackay Airport to Bowen Hospital and back. If interest, VH-VAU appeared to use the flight number and radio callsign of "Rescue 412".

Hoping to see it myself soon!
