Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 Bizjet VH-RJB and More at a Busy Gladstone Airport Wednesday

Edwards Coaches Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-RJB, has spent busy couple of days flying through several Central Queensland Airports.  Having departed its Armidale base in New South Wales, it flew to Brisbane and then on to Mackay early on Tuesday 16 October.  From Mackay, it flew to Moranbah, and then later Gladstone, touching down in the early evening.  After overnighting, VH-RJB was noted departing Gladstone for Thangool, Brisbane, and later back to Armidale.

Meanwhile, noted parked on the Gladstone Airport apron on Wednesday 17 October was QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOF, which had also overnighted, and was busily being prepared for departure as QLK2331 to Brisbane.

Shortly after, Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-500 VH- FVH touched down from Brisbane as DJ1709.

And shortly after that, General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) AeroCommander 500-S VH-YJR touched down from Thangool / Biloela Airport on its weekday morning freight run.

Later in the day, a nice pair of specially painted QantasLink Dash-8-Q400s passed through Gladstone Airport - VH-QOW in Taronga Western Plains Zoo colours as QLK2300 and VH-QOH in Breast Cancer Awareness 'pink' colours as QLK2301.

Meanwhile, on the General Aviation (GA) scene, Aeropower McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company (MDHC) 369E VH-SUV was noted being prepared for flight, while Eurocopter AS.350B2 Squirrel VH-SHD passed through heading North.

Other lighties noted included Sunshine Coast-based Piper PA-46-301P VH-JVX, Shadforth's Civil Engineering Contractors Cessna 414A VH-SMX, which later departed to Mackay and lastly, Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation Cessna 441 VH-VED was noted departing to parts unknown.
