Qantas Boeing B767-338 (ER) VH-OGT Pops into Hamilton Island on Saturday

In what was a very busy weekend at Hamilton Island Airport, Jimi L has sent through a couple of nice photos from above on Saturday 6 October.  You will note in the photo below that the Airport apron is full, and that taking up the most room is Qantas Boeing B767-338 (ER) VH-OGT.

VH-OGT operated yet another flight from Sydney to Hamilton Island and return, position from Sydney as QFA6100, and then operating a charter back to Sydney as QFA1352.

The photos also show the many and varied bizjets scattered about the Airport on Saturday morning.  Business Aviation Solutions Cessna 650 Citation VII bizjet VH-LYM departed Hamilton Island early on Saturday 6 October to Sydney.

Also departing was Corporate Aviation Bell 429 helicopter VH-EQP, which has spent a week on Hamo.  It departed to Gladstone (where Jamie C caught it!) and then its home base of Southport on the Gold Coast.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 7 October, another pair of bizjets visited, with J.M. Kelly (Project Builders) Cessna 550 Citation II arriving from Rockhampton and later departing to the Gold Coast, while Maxem Aviation Bombardier CL-600-2B19 Challenger 850 VH-VMX arrived from Darwin.

Also on Sunday 7 October, most of the 'parked' bizjets departed for Southern ports, with Business Aviation Solutions Raytheon Beechjet 400A VH-IPG departing for Sydney, Shortstop Jet Charter's British Aerospace (BAe) BAe-125-1000B VH-LMP departing for Melbourne (Essendon), and Cessna 560XL Citation XLS VH-XCU also departing for Essendon.
