Polet Aviakompania (Polet Airlines) Antonov AN-124 RA-82068 Arrives at Rockhampton Airport for Exercise Wallaby

Polet Aviakompania (Polet Airlines) Antonov 124-100 RA-82068 arrived at Rockhampton Airport late on Wednesday 3 October as "POT4786" from Singapore, touching down on Runway 15 around 8.30pm this evening.




The Antonov is believed to be carrying Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters, which will soon be flying in the skies of Rockhampton as a part of the Singapore Armed Forces Military Exercise Wallaby 2012.

A great turnout of enthusiasts, as well as members of the public, saw the giant Russian freighter taxi onto Gate 6 at the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport terminal.



The Antonov is expected to stay at Rockhampton for at least one day, with suggestions that it may depart on Friday 5 October.
