And Leader of the Australian Party - Bob Katter - Touches Down at Gladstone Airport Monday in Citation Mustang VH-KXM

The leader of Katter's Australian Party - Bob Katter - also jetted into Gladstone Airport on Monday 2 September for a visit to the port city during the Federal election campaign.

Mr Katter touched down from Archerfield on board Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM.

After his engagements were complete, VH-KXM carrying Mr Katter departed North to Ayr for the night.

Mr Katter's visit to Gladstone came around the same time that Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was in town - see Blog Post below - while Palmer United leader Clive Palmer travelled to Mackay and Bundaberg on Monday 2 September as well.

Sincere thanks to Gladstone plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C for the fantastic coverage of the visiting aircraft at Gladstone Airport on Monday.
