In the final week of the election campaign, the Palmer United Party founder Clive Palmer popped into both Mackay and Bundaberg Airport on Monday 2 September on board his brightly coloured "Palmer United" / Palmer Aviation-operated Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express bizjet M-ATAR.

In what was a busy day for Mr Palmer, M-ATAR was noted arriving into Mackay from Townsville around dawn, before jetting down to Bundaberg around mid-morning. After lunch, M-ATAR was noted departed Bundy for Hervey Bay, from where it will later depart to Brisbane, and later still, the Gold Coast.
