ROAMES / Australasian Jet Cessnas VH-XBF & VH-FEN and Navajo VH-ZMJ at Clermont Aerodrome

A couple of interesting visitors into Clermont Aerodrome that I captured over the weekend were Australasian Jet-operated (AusJet) Cessna 206 aircraft VH-XBF and VH-FEN which touched down from Longreach over latter part of last week.

The two Cessnas are operated by AusJet on aerial surveys in support of Ergon Energy’s Remote Observation Automated Modelling Economic Simulation (ROAMES) project.

On Saturday 17 January, I captured both Cessnas resting after a early morning sortie, as well as fellow Australasian Jet Piper PA-31-325 Navajo VH-ZMJ.

VH-ZMJ touched down from Archerfield and Rockhampton and looked to be carrying a replacement crew for the two Cessnas.  VH-ZMJ collected passengers and bags and returned to Rocky where it seems to be still parked.

It's always great to capture a bit of action at my local airport!
