Also spotted calling into Gladstone Airport later on Thursday 8 January was Virgin Australia Boeing B737-700 jet VH-VBY.
Local plane spotter Michael F captured VH-VBY as it operated the scheduled VOZ1717/1720 service from and back to Brisbane. This continues the run of Virgin Australia jet aircraft calling in each Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Searching the Virgin Australia website reveals that an Embraer E-190 jet should visit Gladstone on Saturday 10 January as well.
While he was there, Michael also captured some more great photos of the visiting Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-VVI which called into Gladstone on a med-evac transfer from and then back to Brisbane.
There were also two more Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights to call into Gladstone Airport late on Thursday 8 January, with QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200s VH-NXD and VH-NXJ both operating into Gladstone from Brisbane.
And finally, after operating the evening JetGo Australia Embraer E-135 flight from Sydney to Gladstone, VH-JGB was parked on the main taxiway where it remained overnight.
VH-JGB has now departed back to Sydney early on Friday 9 January as JG71.
Sincere thanks to Michael for taking the time to capture and send through these fantastic photos!
