On Saturday 2 January there were yet more bizjet movements at Hamilton Island Airport including visits by Thomas White Holdings Cessna 525A CitationJet2 VH-MOR (from Archerfield to Brisbane), Shortstop Jet Charter British Aerospace BAe-125-1000B VH-LMP (from Sunshine Coast to Melbourne [Essendon]) and Falconair Dassault Falcon 20F-5 VH-PNY (from Bankstown to Ayres Rock). Also, Corning LLC Dassault Falcon 7X bizjet N716CG departed Hamo to Cairns and Honolulu after arriving on Tuesday 29 December. Finally, both Qantas and Virgin Australia operated an additional service each into Hamilton Island Airport from and back to Sydney with VH-VXB (QFA1290/1291) and VH-VUR (VOZ1283/1284) noted.

On Saturday 2 January at Rockhampton Airport, Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-NEQ called in late in the day from Canberra before departing to Bankstown. Earlier, McDermott Aviation / Machjet Aerospatiale AS.365N2 Dauphin VH-NAR was spotted departing to its Cooroy base as "Helitac 449".

On Saturday 2 January at Bundaberg Airport, RACQ Careflight / Sunshine Coast Helicopter Rescue Service (SCHRS) BK117 B-2 VH-BKV was noted flying in from the Sunshine Coast and departed to Nambour Hospital. VH-BKV was again noted around Bundaberg on Monday 4 January.
On Sunday 3 January there was yet more bizjet movements at Hamilton Island Airport including visits yet again by Edwards Coaches Cessna 650 Citation VII VH-LYM (from Armidale to Sydney) and Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 VH-VSZ (from Ayres Rock to Proserpine/Whitsunday Coast Airport). Business Aviation Solutions Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 VH-BLM departed to the Gold Coast after arriving on Tuesday 29 December while Corporate Aviation Bell 429 helicopter departed home to Southport via Gladstone Airport after arriving the previous Sunday 27 December. Finally Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-VXQ 'Retro Roo II' visited Hamo from Sydney as QFA866/867 while Qantas also operated an additional flight from and back to Sydney with B737-800 VH-VXC operating as QFA1290/1291.

On Sunday 3 January also at Gladstone Airport, QantasLink operated three Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights with Cobham Aviation operated Boeing B717-200 VH-NXJ operating from and back to Brisbane as QJE1958/6201 and Sunstate Airlines Dash-8-Q400s VH-LQQ and VH-QOE operating from Sydney and Brisbane respectively as QLK2586 and QLK2582. Both aircraft then positioned empty to Brisbane.
On Sunday 3 January at Mackay Airport, Business Aviation Solutions Cessna 650 Citation VII bizjet VH-DHN called in from the Gold Coast and departed to Brisbane.
On Sunday 3 January at Bundaberg Airport, locally based CromAir Cessna 414A VH-CBT flew out and back to the Gold Coast. McDermott Aviation Bell 204B Helicopter VH-OCD 'Helitack 416' was also spotted in the area providing aerial assistance with bushfire fighting.
On Sunday 3 January QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXE was operating the scheduled QJE1576 service from Sydney to Hervey Bay when it encountered a technical issue and returned to Sydney. Fellow QLink B717-200 VH-YQU was noted operating into Hervey Bay on Monday 4 January in lieu of the cancelled Sunday service.

On Monday 4 January at Rockhampton Airport, Pel-Air Aviation SAAB 340 Freighter VH-KDB departed to Mackay Airport positioning as PFY9874. It then resumed normal service operating the PFY7415/7417 from Mackay to Brisbane via Rockhampton. It had been parked at Rocky since Wednesday 30 December when it appeared to break down after arriving from Brisbane as PFY7416.
On Monday 4 January at Hamilton Island Airport, Hewlett Packard Co Gulfstream Aerospace G-V bizjet N628BD arrived from Sydney.

On Monday 4 January at Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport, Eastern Air Services of Port Macquarie (NSW) Beech B200 VH-LNK made an early visit from Archerfield and out to Brisbane. Interestingly, VH-LNK is an ex-Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) aircraft (ex NZ1885) and was delivered to it's currently operator in 2014.

On Tuesday 5 January Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ positioned across from Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport to Hamilton Island Airport after arriving there on Sunday 3 January.
On Tuesday 5 January at Gladstone Airport, Toll Freight Aviation Metro III Expeditor VH-UZI made a surprise arrival diverting after being unable to land at Rockhampton Airport while operating the TFX132 flight from Brisbane. It later departed to Rockhampton, Richmond and Mount Isa as per normal. Also Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 VH-ZPK operated the early morning VOZ1707/1710 service into Gladstone from and back to Brisbane.
On Tuesday 5 January and Wednesday 6 January at Emerald Airport, Virgin Australia ATR 72-500 VH-FVM operated the Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights from and back to Brisbane that have previously been operated by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) (Skywest Airlines) Fokker 50 VH-FNF. VH-FVM operated as VOZ9107/9108/9109/9110.
On Wednesday 6 January at Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport, ExecuJet Australia Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express bizjet VH-ICV touched down from Sydney. It was believed to have originally been destined to land at Hamilton Island but a lack of parking spots meant it was forced to land at Prosie.
On Wednesday 6 January at Hamilton Island Airport, Henadeck Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-YNE touched down from Bankstown.
On Wednesday 6 January at Gladstone Airport, QantasLink again flew multiple Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights in from Sydney and Brisbane operated by Cobham Aviation operated Boeing B717-200 jets and Sunstate Airlines Dash-8-Q400 turbo-props. VH-YQU flew in from Sydney and positioned empty to Canberra as QJE1968/6201. VH-NXR flew in from and out to Brisbane twice as QJE1960/6203/1962/6205. VH-NXL flew in from Brisbane as QJE1958 before departing back to Brisbane on the scheduled QJE1721 service. VH-LQH flew in from Sydney and positioned empty to Brisbane as QLK2586/2671. Finally Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 VH-ZPB operated the morning VOZ1707/1710 service from and back to Brisbane.
The QantasLink operated FIFO flights into Gladstone Airport continued on Thursday 7 January with Sunstate Airlines Dash-8-Q400s and a sole Cobham Aviation Boeing B717-200 operating flights from and to Sydney and Brisbane. VH-QOU flew in from and out to Sydney as QLK2588/2711. VH-QOY flew in from and out to Brisbane as QLK2582/2671. VH-LQG flew out to and back from Sydney as QLK2585/2586. VH-NXJ flew into Gladstone on the scheduled QJE1706 service before operating back to Brisbane as QJE1957. VH-NXL flew in from Brisbane as QJE1958 before operating the scheduled QJE1721 service back to the capital.
On Thursday 7 January at Hamilton Island Airport, Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ departed to Kingscote (South Australia). Aviair (of Kununurra, Western Australia) Piper PA-31-350 VH-RKD also visited from Mackay Airport where it seems to be presently based.
On Friday 8 January at Hamilton Island Airport, Thomas White Holdings Cessna 525A CitationJet2 bizjet VH-MOR visited briefly from Archerfield.
From Saturday 9 January, normal daily reporting of news and movements should re-commence for 2016.
