McDermott Aviation / Heli-Lift Australia Eurocopter SA365N1 Dauphin 2 Helicopter N38MD 'Helitack 429' Calls into Emerald and Longreach Airports

On Thursday 14 December, McDermott Aviation / Heli-Lift Australia Eurocopter AS365N1 Dauphin 2 helicopter N38MD 'Helitack 429' was noted passing through Emerald and Longreach Airports while ferrying from its Sunshine Coast base to Mount Isa.

UPDATE!  On Friday 15 December, N38MD continued from Mount Isa to Darwin, calling into Tennant Creek and RAAF Base Tindal (Katherine) for fuel on the way.

Of interest, N38MD was one of five Eurocopter AS365 N3/N2/N1 helicopters - N82MD, N94MD, N38MD, N61MD, N93MD - that were acquired by McDermott Aviation / Heli-Lift Australia on medical retrieval and other general charter work.

As shown above, it appears that their previous operator was the Maryland State Police Department.
