More Light GA and Corporate Bizjet Aircraft Call into Rockhampton Airport for Beef Australia 2018

On Monday 7 May, it was 'People's Day' at Beef Australia 2018 and as Australia’s national beef expo continued, the various General Aviation (GA) and corporate bizjet aircraft visiting Rockhampton Airport stepped up a notch with another nice selection calling in.

Brisbane-based Piper PA-31-350 VH-RPV made an early morning arrival from Archerfield and Bundaberg.  After spending the day on the ground, VH-RPV returned to Bundaberg Airport.

Brisbane-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-AAD arrived from Archerfield and stayed.

Cloncurry-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-MDH also arrived into Rocky from Archerfield and later departed to its Devoncourt Station home.

BPW Aviation (of Scone in New South Wales) Beech 58 Baron VH-SQC arrived from Scone, Tamworth and Chinchilla.  It later flew down to Gladstone Airport.

Dalby-based Piper PA-46R-350T Malibu Mirage VH-NYG was also due to visit Rockhampton Airport.  It didn't arrive until Wednesday 9 May - see above!

Gold Coast-based Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-OXF looked to arrive from the Gold Coast and departed back to the South soon after dropping of its passenger(s).

Perhaps the 'star' visitor on Monday 7 May was the Cessna 560 Citation Encore bizjet VH-YUL of the Yulgibar Pastoral Company (of Montmorency, Victoria) which touched down at Rockhampton Airport from Baryulgil in Northern New South Wales via the Gold Coast.

At the time of writing, VH-YUL was scheduled to depart to Melbourne (Moorabbin).

Another Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-PIU of Melbourne VIP Charter / Pegasus Air was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Alice Springs and Henbury Airport in the Northern Territory.  It later departed to Archerfield.

The Whitney Pastoral Co. Cessna T206H VH-WPC was noted arriving from its Carcoar base near Bathurst in New South Wales.

Piper PA-32R-301T Saratoga VH-IMD was noted arriving in Rocky from its Aberfoyle Station base at Torrens Creek near Hughenden.

Finally, a familiar visitor in the form of Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM popped into Rockhampton Airport from Bankstown.  At the time of writing, VH-KXM looked to be returning to Bankstown.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotters 'IAD', Kayanne H and Trevor H for supplying the photos and information in this post!
