Since Alliance Airlines started operating flights into Bundaberg Airport (amongst other places) in 2017 on behalf of Virgin Australia, the airline has been mostly flying small Fokker F-70 jets into the Rum City from Brisbane. Since the start of November however, it appears that larger Fokker F-100 jets are making more regular appearances on the service possibly due to the increasing numbers of F-100s in the Alliance Airlines fleet and the unavailability of F-70s to operate these flights.
On
Tuesday 27 November, F-100 VH-UQA was photographed by local plane spotter Dan B operating the VOZ2973/2972 service from and back to Brisbane.
The larger Fokkers are certainly a nice sight and we hope to see more and more into Bundy!
Sincere thanks to Dan from
Dan Beck Photography for allowing us to share these great photos!
