Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk Helicopter Passes Through Rockhampton Airport as "Ausy 1102"

On Friday 9 November, an unidentified Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk helicopter was heard passing through Rockhampton Airport.  It appeared to fly in from the North - possibly from Townsville where some are currently based.

After taking on fuel, it was heard to fly to Oakey at low level.  The Blackhawk was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Ausy1102".

Meanwhile, also on Friday 9 November, there was another visit into Rockhampton Airport by a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Beech B350 Super King Air.  It was identified as A32-372 and was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Torch 22".

It appeared to arrive into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns, via a missed approach at Mackay Airport.  After a couple of hours on the ground, A32-372 departed originally to Oakey, flying South via the Queensland coast.  When near Bundaberg, it changed to complete low-level airwork in the area before completing more airwork off Hervey Bay.  It then landed at the Sunshine Coast.

Of interest, as reported below, A32-372 had flown North to Townsville from RAAF Base East Sale via Roma Airport as "Hudson 32" on Wednesday 7 November.
