Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-008 Passes Through Rockhampton Airport

On Monday 18 March, Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-008 was noted passing through Rockhampton Airport heading South.

Local plane spotter Scott H was on hand as it arrived into Rocky from Townsville.

After taking on fuel, A40-008 departed Rocky for Brisbane, flying into the capital from overhead Gympie.

A40-008 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Destrier 104".

Meanwhile, also on Monday 18 March, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-002 was noted completing a missed approach at Hamilton Island Airport.

A30-002 was flying as "Wedgetail 03" and looked to fly up to Hamo from RAAF Base Williamtown via a missed approach at the Sunshine Coast.  After completing the airwork at Hamo, it then returned South to Williamtown but via more airwork this time at RAAF Base Amberley.

Sincere thanks to Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
