RACQ LifeFlight Aero Medical Bizjets and Helicopters Pop into Central Queensland Airports

Late Thursday 21 March, a pair of LifeFlight (Aeromed) bizjets were noted completing medical evacuation flights out of Rockhampton Airport.

Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 VH-URR "Ambulance 604" was noted visiting from Brisbane.

While LearJet 45 VH-CXJ "Ambulance 452" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and later departed also to Brisbane.

VH-CXJ "Ambulance 452" was then noted visiting Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport, arriving from Brisbane and later departing to Townsville.

Meanwhile, during the afternoon, also on Thursday 21 March, a pair of LifeFlight helicopters were noted flying in and out of Bundaberg Airport.

Locally-based Bell 412EP VH-XCY "Rescue 522" looked to complete a flight from Hervey Bay Hospital to Bundaberg, while Sunshine Coast-based Bell 412EP VH-XCK also looked to fly from Hervey Bay Hospital to Bundaberg before returning to the Sunny Coast.

UPDATE!  Of interest, on Sunday 24 March, another pair of medical evacuation helicopters again visited Bundaberg Airport.  Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-ESZ visited from Archerfield and departed to the Mater Hospital in Brisbane as "Rescue 500".  It did the same on Saturday 23 March but went the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.  While RACQ LifeFlight's newest Leonardo SPA Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-XIW visited from Brisbane as "Rescue 533".
