RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail A30-001 and Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-206 Complete Airwork at CQ Airports

Even though the Australian International Airshow is on at Avalon Airport in Victoria, on Friday 1 March, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft were noted completing airwork at Central Queensland Airports.

RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-001 "Wedgetail 15" was noted completing a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

It flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown via a missed approach at RAAF Base Amberley and after completing the airwork at Hervey Bay, A30-001 returned to Williamtown.

Meanwhile, RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-206 "Stallion 27" was noted completing a missed approach at Bundaberg Airport.

It departed Amberley and completed airwork off Brisbane before coming up to Bundy.  After the missed approach, A41-206 returned to Amberley.
