Corporate and Commercial Aircraft Come and Go at Hamilton Island Airport Over the Weekend

It was a busy weekend with various corporate and other commercial charter aircraft coming and going at Hamilton Island Airport - aside from the 'usual' commercial Regular Passenger Transport (RPT) movements.

On Sunday 6 October, Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport once again.  It looked to arrive from and later return to Brisbane.

VH-ILJ completed a similar flight on Friday 4 October.

Meanwhile, after arriving into Hamilton Island Airport way back on Saturday 28 September, Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Global Ranger helicopter VH-EQP departed Hamo also on Sunday 6 October for Gladstone Airport and its Southport home base.

Finally, a couple of commercial charter aircraft noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport also on Sunday 6 October included Pel Air / Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340B VH-ZRB which arrived from Brisbane as PFY9860, but then later departed back to the capital as PFY9261.  And after arriving on Thursday 3 October, the visiting Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-XWR departed Hamo also on Sunday 6 October and returned to Brisbane as UTY551.

Finally, on Saturday 5 October, Darwin-based Lloyd Aviation Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900 bizjet VH-PPD returned to Hamilton Island Airport from Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport before later departing to Melbourne (Essendon).  It had arrived into Hamo and then Prosie from Essendon last Thursday 3 October.
