Early on Tuesday 25 February, VH-MMC initially flew North from its Sunshine Coast base to Emerald Airport and touched down for a period of time. It then took to the air again and completed airwork around Emerald Airport before landing once again.
VH-MMC then later departed Emerald Airport to a position overhead Rockhampton before it continued down and completed airwork at Gladstone Airport. VH-MMC then returned to Emerald Airport, again overhead Rocky.
Around sunset, VH-MMC then departed Emerald Airport and returned direct to the Sunshine Coast.
Of interest, and as mentioned below, VH-MMC completed airwork at Gladstone Airport on Sunday 23 February, flying up from and back to the Sunshine Coast. It also looked to complete a pair of local flights out and back to the Sunny Coast on Monday 23 February. Perhaps some post maintenance flight testing?
UPDATE! On Wednesday 26 February, VH-MMC returned to Emerald Airport and complete two more local flights with one extending to Gladstone Airport again for more airwork.
UPDATE! On Thursday 27 February, VH-MMC returned to Gladstone Airport yet again from the Sunshine Coast, completing more airwork and landing for a short time.
Meanwhile, also noted calling into the region again this week, and at my local Clermont Aerodrome, also on Tuesday 25 February, was Redjet Aviation Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-PJU. The smart little Navajo seems to be completing weekly flights into Clermont from and back to its Toowoomba base.
Finally, on Monday 24 February, a couple of familiar corporate bizjets were noted returning to the Whitsundays region once again.
Linfox Express Charter / Air National Australia Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 605 VH-LEF was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Melbourne (Essendon) and seems to have remained parked.
UPDATE! After staying for almost a week, on Sunday 1 March, VH-LEF departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Essendon.
While American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK called into Mackay Airport briefly after flying up form Archerfield before it then continued up to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour where it looks to have remained parked.
UPDATE! N257AK returned to Archerfield late in the afternoon on Thursday 27 February.
